COVID 19 is Bringing More People To Christ

COVID 19 is affecting people all over the world, unemployment rates continue to rise, and our economy is suffering. However, COVID 19 is uncommonly affecting people's religion. Is finding Christ going to help end the worldwide pandemic? As COVID 19 cases increase, online churches continue to increase as well. Churches, like Hillsong, Elevation, and TD Jakes Ministries, have not let social distancing stop them from delivering the word of God. From live streaming church services, recording gospel songs from their homes, and making digital ways to give tithes, these churches have caught many people's attention. Many millennials and generation z have responded to these viral online church services by posting Tik Toks and Youtube Videos. Madidrew uploaded a Tiktok, which has received a lot of feedback and shares. Madidrew shared a bible verse which states, "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people." Madidrew realized that the bible passage has predicted what has occurred. Australia has had wildfires endangering many animals and humans. The Bible had predicted there was going to be no rain, which Australia desperately needs. Locusts in East Africa have eaten away crops and are destroying land, which the bible verse also predicted. God also said that he would send a plague amongst his people; which is COVID 19.

Madidrew then stated another verse which states, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Madidrew is desperately calling people to turn their lives to Christ so that God can forgive the land. Madidrew has reached many people and has got people thinking. Comments included, "I'm not religious, but I think it might be time to start," "If we don't stop doing our evil, things are going to escalate and things could get worse, so please pray," "I'm not religious, but I think you all may be up to something." Many people are starting to question their beliefs, and some people have decided to go public with their beliefs.

Viral church sermons, songs, and Tik Tok have also made an impact on many celebrities. Singers like Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez have all gone public with their faith. Fans are looking up to these Hollywood faces and are becoming interested in what they practice. Selena Gomez sung a song called, "The Blessing" by Elevation Worship. Fans have re-shared the video, causing the video to go viral. Justin Bieber has also impacted many people by talking about Jesus in his songs.

COVID 19 has impacted many people's religious status. From online church services, viral Tik Toks, and A list celebrities spreading their faith, Christianity has caused an increased amount of the spreading of the gospel.
