Atlanta Metro Malls are opening back up for business



As Shelter in place orders are lifted, and businesses continue to open, malls in the metro Atlanta area is planning on opening up soon. Simon Malls was supposed to open up all malls Friday, May 1st. However, Simin announced that they would be delaying the opening of the malls until Monday, May 4th. North Georgia Premium Outlets and Calhoun Outlet Marketplace opened up Friday, despite Simon's announcement. Lenox Square, Phipps Plaza, Sugarloaf Mills, Town Center at Cobb, and the Mall of Georgia will open back up Monday. Perimeter, North Point, and Cumberland mall plan to open back up Tuesday, May 5th. The President of Simon malls said that "The health, safety and well being of those we serve will always be our highest priority." There are some malls open that you can shop at right now, including Arbor Place, Southlake Mall, and the Avenues at West Cobb. The malls have installed hand sanitizing stations, touch-free interactions, and increased the frequency of cleaning doors, windows, shelves, etc. The malls have also decided to keep the food court closed until further notice.
