5 Luxury Fashion Companies helping fight the Coronavirus



As Coronavirus cases continue to increase, and people are adjusting from working in offices to working at home, luxurious companies are pitching money into corona relief programs. 


Gucci

The Italy based brand donates to two separate donations. Gucci will donate 1 million to the Italian Civil Protection Department. The brand will also donate 1 million to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.


Micheal Kors

Micheal Kors announced on social media that they would be supporting God’s Love We Deliver and the CFDA’s A Common Thread. The brand will donate 2 million dollars to NYU Langone Health and NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital. 


Chanel

A Paris based fashion company has started to make facial masks to help boost production in France. The company creates medical gear for doctors. While this is happening, their normal production of fashion items will be halted. 


Skims

The Kim Kardashian shapewear brand plans to give back by giving a commission. Kim will restock its “Cotton Collection.” 20 percent of the profit made will go towards Baby2Baby’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Program.


Dior 

Dior announced that one of their French workshops would be used for the production of facial masks. The face masks are for non-medical essential workers, like police officers, firefighters, and grocery clerks. 


While the Coronavirus has negatively impacted the economy, it is bringing the good out of people and businesses.
